October UNadventures

Tuesday, November 22, 2016

Well you know we had to start October off with a little trip to get pumpkins and mums and all things Fall.  We got to see lots of cool animals at church to celebrate St. Francis, and then we headed off to celebrate our goddaughter's birthday with cupcakes and family fun.  We tried to keep busy while Jaron was away in Denmark for a week.  Yeah, I know.  Denmark!  His pictures looked amazing, his adventures sounded amazing, but the best part of the trip was that his sister got married, and it was all so stunning that I could hardly stand it.  The kids and I oohed and aahed over the pics of my sister-in-law and brand new brother-in-law (!!!).  Seriously, so gorgeous.  We are so happy for them!  Jaron has tons of great captures from his time there that I just oughta make him do his own post.  Luckily though, I managed to steal a couple of shots from the big day to share here.  The weekend after Jaron got back, we headed to Texas for a family reunion (affectionately called Dad on Down) with my Dad's brothers and sisters and my cousins and of course our Grandman.  We had such a nice time seeing everyone, and even snuck in a quick trip to the State Fair with cotton candy, a corndog, fried oreos, rides for the kids, and some good ol' fashioned people watching.  Besides a family photo session with Hannah Kate Photography, a TCU watch party, and our big Halloween tradition of chili and movies and trick or treating (and a broken water pipe that left our guests without running water for quite some time, but whatever), the rest of the month was filled with the regular UNadventures of outside shenanigans, good food, all the coffee, soccer, and watching the changing leaves.  October was a good one.
